Acer 4736Z is the lower priced version of 4736 line of Acer Laptops. The major difference between 4736 and 4736z is the processor. All the 4736 models are Core2Duo(C2D) powered whereas the 4736z models are ‘Pentium Dual Core'(PDC). The Acer 4637Z Laptop’s chip-set is GL40 whereas the 4736 is built on GM45 chip-set. Actually the 4736 and 4736Z models are coming with DDR2 RAM and  DDR3 RAM. In reality you can not find much difference on performance for these DDR2 and DDR3 RAM differences. But the processors are very important and you could find much difference in speed of operation. We highly recommend the 4736 over 4736Z models just because of the processor.

The 4736Z is powered by ” Intel® Pentium® Processor T4200 (1M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) ” . This is a 64 Bit 2 Core processor with 1MB of L2 Cache. The clock speed is 2GHz and the Front Side Bus (FSB) speed is 800MHz.

The 4736 is power by ” Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T6600 (2M Cache, 2.20 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) “. This is also a 64 Bit 2 Core processor with 2MB of L2 cache. The clock speed is 2.2 GHz and the FSB is 800MHz.

Acer 4736 and 4736z laptop prices in India

The Acer 4736Z price starts from Rs-29000/- and the one comes with 2GB DDR3 and Windows 7 operating system will cost Approx – Rs- 31000/-

The Acer 4736 price starts from Rs-32000/- and the Windows 7 OS installed version will cost you Rs-39000/-.

If you are going to buy any 4736 line Acer Aspire line of laptops, you must get to know all those details. It is really confusing for the customers and most of the vendors took this advantage and will sell you the lower priced model for the higher price. It is your responsibility to find the genuine seller.

Even for a little higher price of 4736, we highly recommend to for it. The Core2Duo will give you extra power most times and you will feel happy for what you spent on that. But if you are in tight budget, we will not say the 4736z is bad.
